My Story
I grew up in a working class household where money was tight and nobody talked about it. You worked, you paid your bills, and you hoped for the best. Nobody sat you down and explained how to protect yourself, build real wealth, or plan for a future that didn't involve working until your body gave out.
I spent five years as a mechanic after college. I was good at it, but the veterans in the field told me straight: this isn't something you want to do forever. Their backs hurt. The pay was never enough. When I got laid off, I moved into IT. The pay was better, but something was missing. I spent years doing work that kept the lights on but never felt like it mattered.
The moment everything changed for me was when I sat down with my aunt and uncle. They were in their mid-seventies — still working, not because they wanted to, but because they had to. They had money in the market, invested aggressively, and one bad correction would have wiped them out. I showed them how to protect their income from market losses and create money that would last the rest of their lives. They were moved to tears. That's when I knew this is what I'm supposed to do.
